What it recreates
Reimplements Adobe InDesign-style spread layout, threaded text frames, parent pages and publishing documents in an open-source application.
What’s different
Native Rust layout and local files, with scriptable editing and open document formats.
What you can use today
v0.14.0 provides desktop installers/archives and a web build. Improves DOCX table import, footnote editing, PDF document metadata and gradient table-cell output. Pre-alpha: layout and export builds are available; complex publishing files, typography and prepress workflows need individual checks. RemakeList has not installed or fully tested it.
