File requirements
Requires a lawfully obtained plain ISO of Gran Turismo 4 USA v2.00 (SCUS-97328). Spec II needs your own Spec II 1.10 image separately. The project supplies no game or mod files.
Based on public documentation; full builds and playthroughs have not been tested. Project documentation
What it recreates
Statically recompiles PS2 game code to native C++ while reproducing hardware behaviour in software. The PCSX2 GS renderer runs as a separate process; this is not a zero-emulation claim.
What’s different
Supports high-resolution and ultrawide output, controller mapping, save management and compatible texture packs. The 1.3.0 test channel also supports the Spec II mod from the user’s own image.
What you can use today
v1.3.0-rc6 is a public test build with Windows installer and portable ZIP, not the final 1.3.0 release. Vulkan is the tested default; Direct3D 12 and 11 are newer alternatives. Linux and Android remain planned. Release candidate: some license demos and menu backgrounds do not play; racing wheels are unsupported and long sessions are not fully tested. Performance Mode removes light flares and sun glare. Spec II ultrawide HUD issues remain; performance is hardware-dependent.
