File requirements
Supply your own legally obtained Xbox 360 NHL 2K8, title ID 54540809, version 0.0.0.3, extracted with default.xex and all other files together. The README specifies the supported executable hash; other releases are unsupported. Keep additional space for these extracted files. No game data is supplied by RemakeList.

What it recreates
Uses the ReXGlue SDK to statically translate the Xbox 360 program from the player’s own copy. The project supplies setup tools, a launcher and compatibility patches, not the game files.
What’s different
Adds a Windows launcher, keyboard support and custom playlists. The author reports quick games, franchise mode, tournaments, saves and multiple local controllers working.
What you can use today
v1.1.0 offers a setup program that downloads tools and builds locally, plus a manual source-build route. Requires Windows 10/11 x64, Direct3D 12, Visual Studio 2022 C++ with Clang/CMake, Git, internet for setup and about 10 GB for the build, in addition to your own supported game files. Only Windows 10 has been tested by the author. Online features do not work; busy crowds and first shader encounters can stutter. The F4 settings screen’s Save to config button writes an unreadable configuration. RemakeList has not installed or played it; the author’s antivirus false-positive claim is not an independent security verification.

The README says Claude chat produced diagnostic commands, configuration fixes, code and patches; the owner manually ran and tested them and made the decisions. The author explicitly says Claude Code was not used.
