What it recreates
Builds a native Silent Hill program from the PS1 decompilation, using a modified PsyCross compatibility layer for the original hardware interfaces. It is a decompilation-based port, not a static recompilation.
What’s different
Adds optional widescreen, modern mouse menus, quick saves, alternate cameras and a mod manager for texture and other replacements, while keeping classic camera and gameplay options.
What you can use today
The PC route remains separate from xbox360-alpha-1, a new Xbox 360/homebrew test package with an original-Xbox build alongside it. That alpha reports only opening scenes, basic interactions and some save loading; it does not establish a complete Xbox playthrough. Realtime PC/mobile builds are a separate, untested update channel. Windows remains the main PC route; Linux/Mac are unstable work in progress and mobile support is early. Supply your own original PS1 Silent Hill disc image; the port-layer GPL does not cover Konami data or decompiled game code. RemakeList has not built, installed or played this release.
