What it recreates

Reimplements Microsoft Word-style word processing, styles, tables, tracked changes and document layout in an open-source application.

What’s different

Familiar ribbon workflows reimplemented natively in Rust, with CLI and MCP control.

What you can use today

v0.12.0 provides desktop installers/archives and a web build. Improves DOCX/RTF import details, Arabic list numbering, paragraph layout and LaTeX binomial import. Alpha: writing and DOCX workflows are available to try; pagination, chart/SmartArt round-trip fidelity and native printing still need work. Not installed or fully tested here.
