What it recreates
Uses ReXGlue to statically recompile the Xbox 360 program with a replacement runtime and native graphics backends: Vulkan on Linux and Direct3D 12 on Windows. The user supplies the original game files.
What’s different
Adds display-paced frame-rate controls, EchoPatch-inspired fixes, PC settings, interval selection and a shared collection menu.
What you can use today
GitHub’s latest stable release endpoint still returns v0.1.5, a Windows source release with a Proton route for Steam Deck and no executable assets. Separately, the current default-branch documentation calls its development line 0.9 and provides native Linux/Steam Deck Vulkan builds without Proton, with author gameplay and performance test reports. We verified the build instructions, not a v0.9.0 release tag. Current-source Windows builds are untested. Full campaign playthroughs remain a v1.0 testing goal; RemakeList has not built or played either route. Rendering is currently 1280×720 and the PC texture pack is unsupported. Slow-motion firefights can miss 120 fps; Steam Deck blood marks are missing and story autosaves can briefly disconnect the controller. Docked 120 Hz, the Holiday bonus mission and complete campaigns still need validation. Windows builds from the documented 0.9 development line are untested; Android and Windows ARM64 remain future work. Original files / setup: Provide your own supported Xbox 360 discs: F.E.A.R.
