What it recreates
Reimplements the games in Godot 4/GDScript. Despite its name, this is a rewritten engine, not static recompilation or a Game Boy emulator.
What’s different
Adds desktop/mobile controls, extended map display, smooth scrolling, save tools and challenge modes. v0.1.86 changes save-export file selection while preserving existing saves.
What you can use today
v0.1.86 publishes desktop builds, Android APK, unsigned iOS IPA and Switch homebrew package. iOS requires personal signing/sideloading; Switch requires an existing homebrew environment. Generation 3 is experimental and not playable. Unsupported ROM revisions are rejected. Apple packages are not a normal App Store release; macOS builds are ad-hoc signed, and free Apple-account iOS signing commonly needs renewal.
