File requirements
No separately purchased original game or disc image is required. Use the official packages; campaign video files may need a separate official download on some platforms. Code, game data and individual components retain their stated licenses.

What it recreates
Continues the original game after its source was released by Eidos and Pumpkin Studios; it is not a separately reverse-engineered clone.
What’s different
Modernizes graphics and networking while retaining the campaign. Version 4.7 adds a legacy v1.10 campaign balance option and a redesigned multiplayer lobby.
What you can use today
Version 4.7.0 offers Windows, macOS and Linux downloads; the Mac bundle supports Intel and Apple silicon. An official browser edition offers campaign and skirmish, with reduced graphics and no online multiplayer. Not run by RemakeList.
